The Equifax Credit Score is intended for your own educational use. It is also commercially available to third parties along with numerous other credit scores and models in the marketplace. Also, third parties will take into consideration items other than your credit score or information found in your credit file, such as your income.

Equifax's Internet scanning feature, WebDetect will scan for your Social Insurance Number (if you choose to) and up to 6 major credit/debit card numbers you provide. WebDetect scans thousands of internet sites where consumer's personal information is suspected of being bought and sold, and is constantly adding new sites to those it searches. However, the Internet addresses of these suspected internet trading sites are not published and frequently change, so there is no guarantee that WebDetect is able to locate and search every possible internet site where consumer's personal information is at risk of being traded.
