From texting to eating, distracted driving takes its form in many ways. It has become an epidemic in Canada, responsible for more fatalities than speed-related and impaired driving combined. These statistics are staggering, so KANETIX.ca asked Canadians if they think distracted driving should be a criminal offense. Fifty-eight per cent agree it should be in general, but the severity of different forms of distracted driving is divided. The majority feel strongly about the gravity of texting while driving, for example, while few are concerned with turning that dial.
